House. Circa 1600, reworked and extended in the early and later C19 (plaque
to rear: 'S.W. 1886'). Original structure has substantial timber frame with
red brick infill, later blocks are in red brick. Clay tile roofs. Original
part consists of a 2-storeyed L-shaped block, whilst the later blocks (which
probably contain or replace some earlier building) extend to W and S. N
elevation: original part has 3-light casements with glazing bars. Projecting
gable is encased in red brick to ground floor, and may have been jettied. LH
block has red brick chimney stack, rebuilt C19 with moulded octagonal stacks.
RH C19 blocks have mostly C19 sashes with glazing bars, dentil eaves cornices
and various brick stacks with moulded octagonal stacks. Other elevations: C19
parts have sashes with glazing bars. Original block has casements, as well as
blocked original mullioned windows visible externally.
