Farmhouse. C17, altered C18, mid-C19 and early C20. Part timber-framed with brick and rendered infill and replacement walling on rubble base, part brick with plain tiled roofs. Hall and cross-wing plan; hall part of three framed bays aligned roughly north/south and having an external brick chimney and remains of a bread oven at its north end. Cross-wing of two framed bays situated at southern end with large brick chimney on its south side. Two storeys and attic.
Framing: hall part of three square panels from sill to wall-plate with long straight braces across some lower corners. Tie-beam truss with lattice struts situated at north end. Cross-wing has two rows of panels surviving at first floor level of west gable end and a collar and tie-beam truss with struts above.
West front elevation: hall part has two two-light casements and two rectangular lights on the ground floor, a two-light casement and a rectangular light on the first floor and a C20 flat-roofed dormer with a three-light casement. Main entrance to right of centre has a timber porch with a curved corrugated iron canopy and a partly-glazed door and transom light with two glazing bars. Cross-wing gable has a three-light ground floor casement, a two-light first floor casement and an attic light. Substantial C20 addition to rear of cross-wing.
