Cottage range of the mid C19, with cross wing of the late C19. Brick and stone,
with a slate roof. A long low building, with a plain slate roof, walls of
Flemish bond with a thin 1st floor band, Tudor arched openings at the west
side and other openings of the C20. The west end unit was once used as a
laundry, resulting in the construction of a tall chimney in the north-west
corner; this was faced in yellow brickwork at the base (of octagonal form)
and the remainder of the shaft was encased in coarse flintwork: conical roof
of slate. The cross wing is linked to the archway of 1891 by a high wall, and
is of ashlar with two gables.
