Barn. Possibly C13. Timber-framed and weatherboarded on rubble base with
corrugated metal roof, half-hipped at south end. Three cruck-framed bays
aligned north/south; central wagon bay has opposed cart entries with double
doors. Roof is slightly raised above wagon bay. Interior: framing: all
four trusses survive; south end one is truncated. Wall-framing has two
large panels from sill to wall-plate, long straight braces across lower
corners, some swept upper corner braces and two tiers of purlins. (RCHM,
III, p 55, item 30; BoE, p 120; Alcock, NW: CBA Cruck Catalogue, 1981).
