GV II House))
House. C17, mainly early C18, early C19. Brick, with a tile roof. Symmet-
rical front (south) of 3 storeys, 5 windows (2 wider windows to the ground-
floor). Red brick moulded cornice (returned at ends), blue header walling
with flush red dressings, quoins, rubbed flat arches, the openings set within
red panels, 2nd floor projecting band. The ground-floor has been altered, with
2 wide windows (with Victorian sashes), stucco finish; 1st floor bands, moulded
quoins, plinth. Sashes in exposed frames. Plain doorway, with a large moulded
canopy on carved brackets, and 6-panelled (4-top-glazed) door. Hipped tile roof-
ing, with catslide to part of the rear. The rear of the building, on the-east
side, is a lower block of 1 storey with attic, with timber-framing within,
being part of an earlier structure.
