Public house. c.1830. Ashlar with Welsh slate roof. Renewed brick chimneys.
3 storeys, 2 bays.
To right early C20 castellated stone porch has 6-panel inner door, and fanlight
with radiating glazing bars.
12-pane sash windows in raised surrounds.
Gabled roof with flat coping.
Interior has 6-panel doors and staircase with stick balusters and turned newels.
Formerly a much larger coaching inn incorporating the house next door (Castle
Farm q.v.).
The 2 left-hand ground-floor windows of Castle Farm are now part of this property.
