Barn dated and initialled 'R C 1614 W M' on wall plate over access
to main body of barn on south side. Coursed squared and dressed
limestone, stone slate roof. Asymmetrical 'T'-shaped plan to barn
with projecting porch on south side. C20 lean-to/garage extension
right of porch. Buttresses with offsets flush with gable end of
projecting porch. Double plank doors to porch within flat-
chamfered, four-centred arch. Trefoil-headed single light with
rosettes in spandrels towards apex of gable. Single width 'Tudor'-
arched entrance in left-hand wall of projecting porch. Double
width doors opposite projecting porch. Ventilation slits in sides
and gable ends. Former pitching window with 'Tudor'-arched
surround in west gable end. Shouldered double width doorway to
garage extension. Hipped roof to same.
Interior: 8 bays, four original roof trusses with triple purlins,
2 collars, the lower supported by struts from base of principal
rafters. Three king post trusses at west end.
