II
Farmhouse. 1857 by John Ferguson, mason, for the Earl of Ravensworth. Dressed
stone with ashlar dressings and Welsh slate roof. Chamfered plinth and raised
alternating quoins. 2 storeys. T-plan.
3-bay facade has 16-pane sashes in outer bays. Centre bay has tall 2-light
mullioned stair window with round heads to lights. All windows have raised
alternating-block surrounds
Gabled roof with kneelers, ridged coping and corniced end stacks. Square stone
blocks support guttering.
Entrance on left return in solid stone extruded porch with panelled door in
chamfered segment-headed surround. Rear wing has similar windows except on
east side 1st floor which has 16-pane sashes in half-dormers.
Interior: staircase with stick balusters, 6-panel doors and shutters.
