House. C18. Stucco, with a tile roof. 2 storeys and attic, 4 above 3 windows,
irregularly spaced. Plain walling, wide moulded eaves on widely-spaced brackets,
plinth. Victorian sashes in exposed frames, 2 flat-roofed dormers with sashes.
Doorcase has a moulded hood on panelled architrave, with angle blocks, rectan-
gular fanlight with carved diamond pattern within a straight sattire, 6-panelled
door. Plain doorway to rear passage at the south side, with a wrought-iron gate.
Wall plaque states :- 'Mary Russell Mitford born here 1787, died 1855'.
