Former farmhouse. Late C16 - early C17 with later additions. Timber-
framed, partially bricked on ground floor; painted brick and lath and
plaster infill to panels, tiled roofs. Roughly F-plan with end projecting
cross-wing at west; central triple stack and later external stack to main
range, external stack to cross-wing; cross-passage behind main stack.
Main range of 2 bays with 1 gabled bay, projecting cross-wing of 2 bays.
North elevation, 2 storeys and attics in gables; 2 gables one to right of
centre and one in projecting cross-wing to right, both containing 2-light
leaded casements, irregular fenestration 3 windows to first floor, one in
centre housed in small gabled projection with small external stack. Ground
floor obscured by later brick lean-to has C20 windows and door. East gable
has painted brick ground floor and 3 C19 casements with segmental heads, one
4-light window on first floor. Lean-to at rear. Framing: square panels
roughly 2 from mid-rail to eaves, at rear framing largely complete with
2 panels from sill to mid-rail; V-struts in gables. Timber weathering over
windows. Interior: remains of former C17 staircase with twisted balusters -
from first floor to attic. Large inglenook backing on cross-passage.
