House. Early C18, with mid C19 rear outshot. Brick and tile. Symmetrical
front (south) of 2 storeys and attic, 7 windows. Hipped steep roof,
3 hipped dormers (with sashes), fully moulded eaves cornice, with a monopitch
(from rear eaves level) over the rear part. Walls of Flemish bond with blue
headers, flush red quoins, rubbed flat arches, moulded 1st floor band, some
moulded stone cills, high plinth. Sashes in exposed frames, one original above
the doorway, the others C18 with interior folding shutters. Plain doorframe,
with carved brackets supporting a hood, 8-panelled (2 top glazed) door, above
splayed steps. Large stepped stack at the east end. Rear elevation is plain
with casements and 3 ground floor sashes, arched doorway. Single-storeyed
service wing extends east of the house, with old leaded casements and boarded
door. Simple C18 staircase within.
