7/58 Buckton Farmhouse


GV II


House. Mid C18 refaced and extended early C19. Ashlar facade, random rubble
elsewhere. Welsh slate roof. L-plan with lower service wing attached to left.

2-storey, 3-bay main block with central 6-panelled door and French window to
left, both set in C20 sun lounge. 12-pane sashes elsewhere.

1 ½-storey, 2-bay left section has two 12-pane sashes on ground floor and one
above in ½-dormer. Single-storey 1-bay section to left has 12-pane sash.

Gabled roof with flat coping and brick end stacks. Right return has 12-pane
sashes and a 2-storey bow window with three 12-pane sashes per floor. Wrought-
iron balustrading in front of 1st-floor windows.

More 12-pane sashes to rear; also round-headed stair window with keystone.

Interior: mid C18 open-well stair with turned balusters; 6-panelled doors,
shutters and early C19 decorative cornices.
