House, c.1840. Squared tooled stone with cut quoins and dressings; Welsh
slate roof. Tudor style.
South elevation 2 storeys, 3 bays. Chamfered plinth. Projecting centre bay
has cross window with 2-light mullioned window above, and gable with shaped
finial; on its right return a vertical-panelled-door in chamfered surround
with flat-pointed arch within square frame. Boarded door in similar surround
on right of right beys Side bays show similar fenestration; to right of left
bay a boarded door in similar flat-pointed arched surround. Corbelled-out
stepped end stacks with chamfered caps. Left single-storey part with boarded
door and small chamfered window holding latticed glazing.
Right return: gabled left bay shows 3-light transomed window with 3-light
mullioned window in corbelled oriel above; rear wing set slightly back to
right.
Twin-gabled rear elevation (to river) shows string course stepped up over 3-.
light transomed windows, with 3-light mullioned windows under Tudor hoodmoulds
above; shaped gable finials. On each return of the paired wings is a large
stepped chimney stack.
All windows are plain sashes, in chamfered surrounds. Gables have pitched and
moulded coping on moulded kneelers.
