II
Former farmhouse, now detached private house. Core of late C17 or
early C18 with later C18 and early C19 additions. Rubble stone,
stone slate roof, very large originally external stepped stone
stack now in centre, small new stone end stack to right, and rear
stone stack with moulded cornice. Oldest part to left with gable
end to street and cross gable on right of 2 storeys and attic, with
additional wing to right of 2 storeys. Left-hand block has coped
verge with kneelers and remains of finial, and single casement
light in gable. Two 12-pane sashes in plain flush stone surrounds
to first and ground floors. Left-hand return has several 3-light
wood casements with timber lintels. Right-hand wing has two 2-
light paired wooden casements under timber lintels to first floor,
3-light to right on ground floor and half-glazed 4-panel door to
left with radial fanlight in moulded stone surrounds with C20 semi-
circular hood supported on wooden pillars.
