Estate cottage. Mid - C18. Attributed to Thomas Wright of Durham. Rendered;
Cotswold stone slate roof; ashlar stacks. Rustic cottage style. Single
storey and attics in hipped dormers. 4 windows and central door on ground floor:
one 2-light cross window, two 1:2:1 light bays on ashlar plinths with cross
windows, and a single 2-light casement under a drip mould; all with lead cames;
two 2-light casements with pointed tracery heads and diamond lead came glazing
pattern in dormers. Central plank door; doorcase has plain columns, and a
segmental head with a fretted board inset; similar door in end gable with
pointed hood.
