south of Hall

GV II

Gate screen and ha-ha wall. Late C19, probably by S.F. Widdrington. Squared
stone with cut dressings. Monolith gate piers, with swell friezes and moulded
caps, carry urn finials with tall swept tops. Short flat-coped walls join
end piers with low pyramidal caps. To rear of right end pier ha-ha wall with
pitched coping runs north to join west end of balustrade (q.v.).
Wooden fencing and gate are not of special interest.
