Inn and attached cottage. Late C17-early C18 and C20. Coursed,
squared and dressed limestone stone slate roof, brick stacks. Inn:
rectangular main body with projecting C20 porch at front, store
attached to right gable end, C20 extensions at rear. Late C17-
early C18 cottage attached at angle to left gable end. Inn; 2
storeys and attic lit by two C20, two-light roof dormers. 3-
windowed facade lit by 2-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned
casements with horizontal glazing bars, 3-light casements right of
porch. C20 stone steps up left gable-end to C20 plank door.
Cottage attached left; 2 storeys with 2 and 3-light double-
chamfered stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods in gable-
end. Gable-end stack, gable-end and axial stacks to The Horse and
Groom. Flat gable-end coping to main body of Inn.
Inn interior: spine beam and open fire with wooden bressummer.
