Small farmhouse and cottage immediately adjacent. c1500, farmhouse
much restored in C20. Both timber framed with thatched roof.
Farmhouse has plaster infill on front with stone plinth, rear and
sides mostly faced in brick. Decorative ridge thatch, brick
stacks, external to left, ridge and right end. Single range of
single storey and attic, probably formerly a through passage with
original ceilings over hall and service areas but open above
passage and unheated parlour, with stack inserted in passage to
form double lobby entry plan. Four C20 two-light casements to
ground floor with 3-centred archway left of centre and C20 plank
door. Four small eyebrow dormers to each side. Small cottage has
painted brick infill, brick end stack to right with adjacent
doorway and large fireplace still in place. Single storey and
attic with scattered small fenestration. Interiors not accessible
but likely to be of interest. Said to contain cruck.
