Detached Farmhouse. Late C17. Coursed and squared rubble walls with ashlar
quoins. Thatch roof with gable ends and stone gable-copings. Brick stacks
at gable ends, C19 and C20. Two storeys and attics. 5 windows, regular and
symmetrical fenestration, stone mullions (hollow-chamfers) with a continuous
string-course over,returned at the ends; windows are of 3, 2, 2, 2, 3 lights,
iron casements with rectangularly leaded and fixed lead lights. Two casements
to right gable (attic) window. Front door at centre, plank door with 2 glazed
lights, C19. Gabled C19 porch. Outshuts at either end are both C19.
Interior: plan, end rooms with fireplaces, dog-legged cross-passage at centre
with central staircase and small store room beneath the stairs. Stair-position
possibly altered since C17. Mid-chamfered ceiling-beams in north and south
rooms.
