Lodge. c1897 by Sir Ernest Newton. Brick with stone dressings, tile roof.
L-plan with projecting gable on south west and small hipped extension on
north east. One and 1½ storeys. One chimney on ridge and one projecting
from the right hand wall with diamond shafts. Casement windows with
square leads and stone mullions. Entrance front:-One bay gable on the
right, with 3-stage stone corbels on both corners, 3-light casement
upper level, canted bay on ground floor with 4-light casement and 2-light on
returns. One storey part to left with roof swept down to low level ; a glazed
C20 entrance door with sidelights in angle and a 4-light casement to the
left of this. Wall, adjoining on south east side. C19. Formerly enclosing
the kitchen garden to Glebelands (listed separately 10/28). Approximately l½
metres high and 35 bays long with 5 bays on north west return. Segmental
head to planked door in first bay on south end.
