Large house in landscaped surrounds with adjoining stable block. House now part offices,
stable block now kitchen for house. Mid C18, extended C19, altered mid C20. Brick
hipped tile roof. Rectangular, double-depth central staircase plan. 2 storeys, attics
and cellar. 2 end chimneys and 3 in centre, all with offset heads and clay pots. Hipped
dormers breaking eaves, on all fronts. Sash windows with glazing bars and segmental
arch heads. Entrance front: Symmetrical, 9 bays. A blocked window on right end bay
on each floor. Late C19 enclosed porch with semicircular head over pair of glazed doors,
concealing C18 door of 6 fielded panels and fanlight. Former stable wing at right angles,
projecting on right of one storey, 6 bays with Venetian window in central pedimented
section, with clock. Hipped roof bellcote in centre, with moulded cornice on columns.
Garden front: moulded string course at first floor level; brick modillion eaves course.
Symmetrical. 5-bay centre part with 2 bays set back on either side. French casements
on ground floor. Interior: open-well stair with stick balusters and moulded handrail.
C18 panelling in dining room. 3 early C19 fireplaces in sitting room with fluted pilasters,
leaf and scroll ornaments.
