Former Roman Catholic chapel and priest's house, now a house. Later C18 for
the Haggerston family. Ashlar with pantile and concrete tile roof. Old brick
chimneys. In 2 sections.
House to left, 2 storeys plus attics, 2 bays. Doorway to right in C20 porch.
Gothick window over with intersecting glazing bars. To left two 12-pane
sashes. Very steeply-pitched roof with ridge and end stacks.
Chapel to right with contemporary lean-to, 2-storey vestry in front. The
vestry has 6-panel door and boarded-up window over. To right 2 pointed-arched
windows in raised stone surrounds. Steeply-pitched gabled roof. 2 similar
windows to rear.
Interior: House has imperial stair with sturdy stick balusters and octagonal
newels, ramped and moulded handrail; it rises in one flight and divides into
two. 6-panel doors in panelled reveals. Panelled shutters.
