Inn and terrace of cottages. Inn C18 perhaps with older fabric, remodelled
mid-C19; cottages C18 remodelled mid-C19. Rubble with cut quoins and dressings,
whitewashed; Welsh purple slate roof to inn and blue slate roof to cottages;
orange brick stacks to inn and white brick stacks to cottages. Inn 2 storeys,
3 irregular bays. Left-of-centre boarded door with 3-pane overlight within
later pent porch; 4-pane sash windows, paired to right of porch. Coped
gables, end stacks. Cottages to left 1 storey + attics, 3 irregular bays.
Three 4-panel doors, two of them part-glazed, inside C20 pent porches. Nos.
4 and 5 each have paired 12-pane sashes left of the porch and a small window
right; No. 6 has paired plain sashes right of the porch. Each cottage has a
half dormer with a 9-pane short sash in a stone surround under a coped gable
on moulded kneelers. Coped left end gable; 2 stepped-and-banded ridge stacks.
Rear elevation of inn shows central semicircular stair turret with conical
roof, a rare feature which might indicate a C16 or C17 origin.
Pent porches are not of special interest.
