Detached house. Mainly mid C19 but part may be of earlier origin.
Stone walls, stone slate roofs with coped gables, stone stacks.
Irregular plan. 2 storeys. Entrance front (west) has double-gabled
projection at south end, with angle buttress. 4-centred arched
doorway with hoodmould with carved stops. Part-glazed door. Above
this a triangular canted oriel window withmoulded base and capping.
North of the door, ground floor has a 2-light mullioned and
transomed window with hoodmould. Similar window - without transome,
on first floor. South of the door a projecting chimney stack. North
of the main block a service range of similar construction but simpler
form, with 2 gables, and lower flat-roofed projections. Windows with
unmoulded stone mullions. Garden front has 2 canted bay windows with
mullions and transomes on ground floor and 3 mullioned windows under
gables on first floor.
