Former stabling, now houses and cafe, with shelter shed to rear, and courtyard
wall. Mid-C18, shelter shed 1766. Squared stone with dressings; slate roofs.
L-plan. 2 storeys; north range 9 bays, east range 7 bays. Raised quoins and
surrounds. External stone stair to lst-floor boarded door in north range bay
6, blocked segmental carriage arch with rusticated surround in east range bay
7. Sash windows, some renewed. Hipped roofs with stepped and corniced stone
stacks.
Shelter shed to rear of north range: 9 bays. Central projecting gabled bay with
segmental arch, flanked by similar arcades; plinth, impost band. Gable and
returns coped with moulded kneelers; lean-to roof.
Flat-coped courtyard wall runs south from east range then returns west to link
with north-east wing of Hall (q.v.); gateway in latter section has piers with
rustication, vermiculate on south face, and pedimented caps; 5-step mounting
block to west of gate.
