Chest tomb to Francis Kemmet(t), died 1716. Partially legible
inscription to Francis Kemmet(t) on the south side. Partially
legible inscriptions to John and William Kemmet on the north side.
Limestone. Oval inscription plaque on the north and south side
with partally legible inscriptions and raised, roll-moulded
surrounds with laurel-leaf carving. Palm-leaf fronds at corners
flanked by putti each of which formerly held something (now
removed) in one hand. Outer panels with hanging drapery with
ribbon tie at top. Oval inscription at the west end with an
illegible inscription and raised roll-moulded margin with
scrollwork decoration. Deeply carved winged cherubs' heads in
upper/uppers(?). Similar illegible or unused inscription plaque at
east end. Thick capping with moulded margin. An unusually bold
and rich example.
