Town Hall. Late C19. Dressed stone. Wooden clock tower. Welsh slate and
lead roofs. One tall storey with basements to rear. 7 bays. Central doorway
with original panelled door in frame of Tuscan pilasters and plain frieze and
cornice. Above a tapered stone tablet with rounded top bearing shield with
town coat of arms. Tall 2-light sash windows. Right bay converted into door.
Gabled roof with kneelers, ridged coping and diagonally-set stone corniced gable
stack. Above door is a clock-turret set forward from wall and breaking eaves,
supported on 2 wooden struts. It is capped by lead spire with cross-gablets and
4 corner spirelets.
