Large barn converted to private house. Probably late C18. Random
coursed rubble stone with flush quoins, stone slate roof, 2 rear
stone lateral stacks. Single range of 2 storeys, with large
projecting square tower on south side with hipped roof and louvred
lantern, originally a pigeon loft over a cart entry. Original
timber lintel of cart entry still in position with small projecting
roof canopy on struts. Entry now filled in with additional lower
timber lintel and 2 tapering square columns (probably removed from
an animal shelter) forming a tripartite window. Fenestration
generally paired casements, longer on ground floor. Gabled opposed
entry on north side forming main entrance with large renewed timber
lintel supported on 2 widely spaced very large tapering square
stone columns on square bases. Two-light window over, and slit
vent in gable, with ball finial on gable. Lean-tos flanking entry
on north side.
