9/30 Barn at Driffield Manor
GV II
Barn. Early C19. Random coursed rubble stone, stone slate roof
with weathervane surmounted by pheasant at east end. North side
has low-level stone cambered arch with double timber doors and
raking roof on brackets. Two-light wood casement to left with
timber lintel. Lean-to against east wall with door on north side
and 2-light casement above. Dovecote perches over blocked cambered
stone window in east end. South side has raking cart entry with
double timber doors and stone archway at main wall level inside.
Lean-to to right. Pitch hole at west end with cambered stone arch.
Slit vents throughout. Six-bay collar beam roof.
