House as lodge, c.1800. Squared tooled stone with ashlar door surround; Welsh
slate roof with rebuilt brick stacks. Gothick style. 1 storey + attic, 3 bays;
open-pedimented central bay set slightly forward with flush-panelled door and
triple-arched overlight in surround with stepped pilasters and hood, flanked by
blind windows with pointed arches, with blank quatrefoil above. End bays have
4-pane sash windows with slightly-projecting sills. Coped gables; end stacks
rebuilt on old bases. Returns show low-pitched gables with coping returned on
deep footstones, with 3 windows to ground floor and one, centrally placed, to
attic bedroom; one ground-floor window blocked on each return.

Interior: Ground floor has 6-paneldoors and folding panelled shutters;
contemporary panelled fireplace in sitting room. Dogleg open-string stair with
stick balusters, moulded newels and ramped moulded handrail. 4-panel doors to
bedrooms; collar-beam roof trusses with purlins secured by tusk tenons.
