16/194 Willow Farm House

II

Detached house. Early C17. Colourwashed brick walls, hipped thatched roof
with catslide extensions each end. Brick stack at right end of main house.
2 storeys at front - roof raised - low eaves at rear. C20 glazed timber porch,
with ledged door. Ground floor has 3 casement windows with cast iron lights -
one small plain casement in right end extension. First floor has 3 casement
windows with cast iron lights. Left extension now garage, timber walls with
vertical boarding. Left gable wall of main house also timber-framed with
early weatherboarding. Main ground floor rooms have deep chamfered and stopped
ceiling beams. Roof possibly originally of jointed cruck form. (RCHM - unnumbered,
