Farmhouse, c.1600. Brick and plastered timber frame, all colourwashed.
Steeply-pitched pantile roofs. Two storeys, with 2 1/2 storey cross wings; later
double pile infill between cross wings at rear. Cross wings have 4 x 3 light
casements with pediments to south; stepped gable parapets with moulded brick
kneelers. Large external stacks on east and west sides, that to the east
with octagonal chimney shafts on moulded brick base courses. Tiled offsets
to west chimney stack. Centre range of two storeys with 2 and 3-light
casements with transom. Doorway off-centre to right hand side with classical
doorcase and later half-glazed door. Platband at floor level. Two ridge
chimney stacks symmetrically placed. Blocked ground and first floor window
openings on return wall to east; sashes with glazing bars in west wall.
Double pile wing to north has sashes with glazing bars. Single storey lean-
to in north-east angle.
