SP 23 NW 2/51 BLOCKLEY

Neighbrook House

II

Formerly Upper Ditchford Farmhouse. Datestone on south front "I.S" over "1670",
altered and added to. Two storeys and attic, rubble with tiled roofs.

South front: 5 bays, left in gabled break with one range of windows to return and a
modern 2 storey bay and gable, lean-to c1900 porch in angle with braced timber and
cusped panel door having a transom light. The 2 right hand ranges of windows below a
gable with attic windows. Gabled dormer to right of centre. Ashlar ridge chimneys.
Two and 3-light casement windows with small panes, some leaded timber lintels.

East return: rebuilt in brick in C19; 2 windows with segmental heads; gabled dormers.

Rest (North) has hipped stair turret and restored narrow stair-light with 3 transoms.
Masonry disturbance adjacent possibly for an oriel.

Interior: central room has a large fireplace and a through passage behind it. The
stairs appear modern (from outside). Chamfered beams.
