SY 6085 PORTESHAM BACK STREE, NORTH SIDE

Detached Cottage. Dated 1657 on door lintel. Rubble-stone walls. Thatch roof (right
hand end) and a slate roof (left hand end, extended). Brick stack at right hand gable.
2 storeys, 3 windows, 2-light wooden casements with lozenge-leaded lights, wooden cills
and rendered jambs, 3-light type to ground floor. Porch, approximately at centre, brick
and pebbledash with C20 Roman-tile pentice roof. C20 plank door with upper light.
Doorway has straight-chmfered jambs and depressed-arch head.
