Footbridge. Probably c1782 (date of Lower Lake) for Sir Thomas Wentworth.
Gritstone ashlar. Single-span round-arched bridge over an inlet on the south
side of Lower Lake. The voussoirs increase in length towards the centre of
the arch to be optically correct. Flat walkway with a single-course parapet
(possibly lowered). The bridge sides curve on plan to give a narrower
centre.
