later. Sandstone. Life size figure of infantryman with rifle and bayonet on
square slightly tapering pedestal with cornice. Moulded base. Two-step
podium. The pedestal is inscribed:
TO THE GLORIOUS MEMORY OF
ALL THOSE MEN OF DODWORTH
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES
FOR US IN THE GREAT WAR
1914-1918
The individual names of the men are inscribed on the other faces. The 2nd
World War Memorial is inscribed on the base.
