House. Late C18, early C19 outer bays. Red brick in Flemish bond,
graduated stone slate roof. 2 and 3 storeys, 5 bays, outer bays set forward
and of 3 storeys. Contemporary service wing at right angle to house on
left-hand side. Plinth. 3 stone steps to central 6-panel door under
fanlight with Gothick glazing bars in Roman Doric surround of 2 half columns
flanked by pilasters with impost band supporting frieze, cornice and
pediment. 16-pane sashes with flat brick arches and continuous stone sill
bands. On second floor of left bay an unequally-hung 12-pane sash; of right
bay a 12-pane side-sliding sash, both with stone sills and flat brick
arches. Ridge stacks. Rear: opposing front door is a doorway with 3 steps up
to a 6-panel door under a blind fanlight in surround of Ionic columns,
frieze and cornice.
