Farmhouse with attached outbuilding. Mid C18 with earlier origins. House:
front elevation of orange-red brick in English garden wall bond, the other sides
with some rubble sandstone; C20 pantile roof. 2 storeys plus loft; 4 bays.
2-course brick band between ground and first floors; dentil eaves. Openings
have segmental arches of headers. In 3rd bay, part-glazed door below 3-pane
overlight, and on first floor above it, a 4-pane sash window. Other windows are
16-pane sashes, some with crown glass. Raised verges. Rebuilt stacks at ends
and centre. Rear: all of rubble sandstone; quoins; irregularly-spaced small
windows. Left and right returns, mixture of brick and rubble, the brick used
for tumbled gables; each end has a loft window, a side-sliding sash to the left,
a 2-light casement to the right. The attached single-storey stone outbuilding
to the rear left has reversed crow-stepped gables. Interior of house: loft has
access by separate ladder-stair from kitchen; collared principal-rafter roof
trusses.
