Bridge. Probably of c1682 with older origins, altered in C18 and C19. Ashlar
sandstone and some reused older material. 2 segmental arches separated by large
abutment, one over main stream, the other over flood channel. Downstream side:
c1682; main arch has chamfered hoodmould above voussoirs; smaller arch supported
on chamfered ribs; C18 band and long parapet terminating in circular bollards.
Upstream side: C18, both arches have archivolts and each is flanked by pilaster
buttresses; band and parapet as other side.

The asset was previously listed thrice also under the parishes of Romanby and Yafforth at List entries 1190657 and 1150996. These entries were removed from the List on 31 October 2017.
