House. Dated 1708. Rubblestone, ashlar, graduated stone slate roof. 2
storeys, 8 bays. Quoins. Fourth bay from right has full-height gabled
porch. Half-glazed door in chamfered surround with continuous dripmould,
above a rectangular window with moulded stone surround, shaped kneelers and
coping. 2-light chamfered mullion windows throughout, 3 either side of
porch to ground floor, 3 to right and 4 to left to first floor, that to
right of left-hand bay on first floor is blind. Shaped kneelers, stone
coping. Large end stack to left, large external stack to right. Rear: a
lozenge shaped stone inscribed "LJB 1708". Interior: a large inglenook
fireplace. A good example of a once common Yeomans house.
