House, now 2 houses. Late C17 with C20 alterations. Small red bricks in
Flemish bond to front, rendered on left return; pantile roof. 2 storeys, 3
bays with rear outshut. C20 glazed door to right of a blocked doorway
between bays 1 and 2. C20 door in rebuilt portion far right. Long windows
of 2 x 6 panes,each with a centre casement; the window to right of door has
18-pane side-sliding sash. Projecting first-floor band, 2-bricks deep, has
quarter-round moulding above the ground-floor openings, including the
original doorway. Dentilled eaves cornice, brick end stacks. Interior not
seen at resurvey but reported to contain old roof timbers. An unusual
example of a 3-unit house built or refaced in brick, originally having
wooden or brick mullioned windows. Buildings of this type survive further
east. Included for group value.
