Early C19. Brown brick. Slate roof: ashlar pedimented gables. One storey. Seven
bays: tall round-arched windows with glazing bars: over each window a sunk oblong
panel. Central bay breaks forward slightly: 4 gadrooned and scrolled consoles to
eaves, with a raised ashlar plaque in between the 2 centre consoles: over eaves is an
ashlar plinth with a pedimented top of Soane-ian character.
History. Built as a Church of England National School. After the opening of the
Ripon and Wakefield Diocesan Training College in 1862, Holy Trinity School was used as
the practising school for the girl's from the College.
