GV II
Footbridge over sunken pathway leading from south side of depression or
quarry pit. C19. Sandstone rubble. Single-span pointed arch composed of
flat voussoirs with the appearance of dry-stone walling above. No parapet.
The bridge is purely decorative and does not relate to any existing pathway.
These grounds were laid out as a Pinetum after 1857 by Mr. Joseph Dent, but
may have been landscaped before that date. The structure is now heavily
overgrown.
