the outbuilding at
Foundry Farmhouse

Smithy, now used as workshop. C19, or possibly earlier. Squared limestone
with pantile roof and brick stack. Single-storey, 2-bay front. Renewed
board door to left of smithy window of 9 narrow glazed lights, both with
painted timber lintels. The smithy was originally part of the Wrelton Iron
Foundry and accommodated 2 forges, few traces of which now survive.
