Obelisk approximately 350 metres north-east of Kirby Misperton Hall

Obelisk. 1812. Sandstone ashlar on tooled sandstone base and plinth. Square on plan. Tapering column with moulded cornice, on moulded base and plain plinth. Summit missing. The obelisk commemorates the gift of the Kirby Misperton estate to the Blomberg family by the Crown. Charles Blomberg was physician to Charles II and his descendant, Fred Blomberg, reputed natural son of George III, was "whipping boy" and Chaplain to the Prince Regent.
