Bridge. Widened in 1800 by John Carr. Limestone ashlar. Single span with
smaller arch over culvert to south. Both arches are flanked by buttresses,
those to the central arch continuing through a band carrying a plain coped
parapet. Cylindrical drums to either end. York Georgian Society " The
