Earlier C18, probably rebuilt incorporating an adjacent house in circa 1830.
altered. Formerly (and successively) called the "Salutation", "Hope Inn" and
"Cascoigne's Hotel". 2 and 3 storeys. 5-3/4 windows. Painted rendering, band
and plain architraven to north block. South range has wide gable with modern
tiled roof. Recessed sash windows with plain surrounds. Architraved doorway
with bracketed hood.

NOS 28 to 31 (consec) form a group with the County Hotel.
