GV II
Farmbuildings grouped around stockyard. Late C18. Hammer-dressed sandstone
with brick dressings and some brick repairs, pantile roof. 2-storey barn to
east giving shelter to single-storey stables, byres and implement sheds to
other 3 sides of rectangular stockyard now partially roofed. Hayloft with
pigeoncote to south-west. 2 gable ends of hayloft and barn produce balanced
facade. This is a particularly good example of a post-enclosure mixed
farmstead and is illustrated in Weller J, History of the Farmstead, 1982
Plate 24.
