Bridge. Early C18 on C17 or earlier bridge site. Dressed sandstone.
Three spans, the centre one higher. Semicircular arches of voussoirs and
rolled hoodmoulds separated by weathered, shouldered cutwaters. Raised
band beneath raking parapet with cambered coping. Cutwaters rise into
pilaster buttresses which form embrasures in parapet. Parapet terminates
in square-section piers with flat caps. E.Jervoise, Ancient Bridges of the
