(Formerly Listed as:
TRINITY TERRACE
Nos.2-13 (Consecutive))
GV II
Terrace of 8 small houses. After 1850 (RCHME). Nos 3 & 4 are
Flemish bond brickwork, the remainder rendered, all with slate
mansard roofs. A series of units, each with 2 storeys and
attic, 1-windowed.
Early dormers to Nos 6, 7 & 9, others C20, and all with a
bowed oriel at first floor, with glazing-bar sashes, generally
8:12:8-paned, but No.9 has 12:12:12-paned; No.6 has a faceted
oriel. Doors are generally C20, but 6-panel early doors remain
in Nos 4 & 7. Ground floor originally had a 12-pane sash under
the oriel, but these remain only in Nos 3, 5 & 7; the least
altered frontage is to No.7. Each house has a brick gable
stack, and there are various alterations and extensions to the
backs. INTERIOR not inspected.
These are very modest properties, sited high above Trinity
Road, with extensive views to the N, and characteristic of
early C19 speculative development in Weymouth.
